Disc/Wheel Skimmers |

Remove Unit From Box and Check For Shipping Damage |

To install wheel, remove [2]
bolts and the washer from motor hub.
Slide wheel between frame
sections and wiper blades, then center wheel on motor hub. Reinstall
washer and bolts. If using an acrylic wheel, remove
paper backing before mounting. |

Position/mount the skimmer in a calm area of
your sump/tank.
The motor is not waterproof and must be
shielded from overspray and chips. |

Install the skimmer so that at
least two inches of the wheel surface is submerged in the fluid.
Mount in a calm area of the sump. The unit can be mounted using the
mounting holes provided
on the frame, C-clamps, or stand provided by the
customer. |

Belt Skimmers |

Position the
skimmer in a calm area of your sump/tank. The motor is not waterproof
and must

Install the belt over the drive
hub and fit the idler roller to the bottom of the belt.
Position the unit in the sump so that the idler roller is
fully submerged when the fluid level is at it's lowest level
in the sump/tank |

Securely mount the skimmer
using mounting holes in frame or C-Clamps, or stand provided
by the customer.. |
STANDARD
motors for Disc/Wheel Units and Belt Units are designed for
INTERMITTENT use. It is recommended that a
timer be installed and that the unit is activated 1/2 to 2
hours
at a time during machine shutdown. An optional CONTINUOUS duty
motor is available for applications requiring
heavier usage. |

Electrical
hookup is to a 120volt, single phase, 60 cycle properly
grounded outlet. Per NEC regulations, a Ground
Fault Interrupt Device is required. Do not immerse motor or
wiring in fluid. |

through its distributor warrants each new product sold by it to the initial user
to be free of defects in material and
workmanship for a period of NINETY [90] DAYS from the date
of the sale of the equipment.
The Carol Company will provide a new part or repaired,
at its option,
in place of any part
which is found upon inspection to be defective in material or workmanship
during the period
described above, FOB Hagerman, Idaho.

This warranty
does not apply to failures occurring as a result of
abuse,
misuse, negligent repair or modifications and
normal wear and tear.
